Audrey Deane has many years experience in the food industry specialising in retail product development and factory auditing and she has a Lead Assessor Qualification. Right from product and ingredient procurement through to production and packaging label copy, Audrey can help you at every stage of the Food Product Development process.


Audrey has experience working with small suppliers to develop new products and procedures that are relevant to the scale of the business.  Her pragmatic approach to this area ensures that systems and procedures are appropriate and not onerous and crippling to the profitability and efficient workings of a food production business but always comply with the Food Safety Act and demonstrate Due Diligence.

Audrey has been working with SAFER FOOD SCORES, Food Safety and Health & Safety Consultants, helping smaller food businesses with HACCP plans, SALSA mentoring and Food Safety Management System development. Safer Food Scores are also experts on EHO liaison and assistance, the 'Scores on the Doors' food business grading scheme and many aspects of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene Training.

**RECENT PROJECTS**

NEW PRODUCTS FROM P.E.MEAD; Audrey and Simon Mead have developed a new range of salad dressings. A classic vinaigrette, a creamy honey & mustard and a balsamic dressing form the range.

Audrey has been working with P.E.Mead & Son's for two years. Initially, Audrey advised Mead on their Food Safety Management system, but then she was asked to assist them in the development of a range of infused oils.

Using her product development expertise, Audrey sourced the extracts and prepared samples for the team at Mead to taste.  Once the products were approved, Audrey carried out a HACCP update and reviewed the systems to ensure that all of the required process controls were in place.  Following the launch, Audrey also created recipes using the new oils and their success has been going from strength to strength.
